Product details

The Shanghai Micro Vickers Hardness Tester (Automatic Rotary Tower Touch Screen) HXP-1000TM/LCD can be set in the system settings menu for the test force unit (gf or N), LCD backlight, date and time, specified hardness in coating analysis, etc. Through the touch screen, the brightness of the light source can be infinitely adjusted, the tower can be rotated, and the loading can be controlled. The instrument also has a power-off memory function and a timing device for measuring positions. Through the printer, measurement data such as maximum value, minimum value, uniformity, mean value, and mean square error can be output.

How to use a micro Vickers hardness tester

1. Rotate the test force change handwheel to ensure that the test force meets the selection requirements. When rotating the test force change handwheel, it should be done carefully and slowly to prevent impact from occurring too quickly.

2. Turn on the power switch, the indicator light and light source light will turn on. The screen displays the test force indicated by the test force change handwheel at this time.

3. Rotate the objective lens and pressure head conversion handle to position the 40X objective lens in front of the main body. The total magnification of the optical system is 400 x and it is in the measurement state.

4. Place the standard test block or specimen on the test bench and rotate the rotary wheel to raise the test bench. Observe with eyes close to the micrometer eyepiece. When the sample is 2-3mm away from the lower end of the objective lens, a bright spot appears at the center of the field of view of the eyepiece, indicating that the focusing surface is about to come. At this time, it should slowly rise slightly until a clear image of the sample block or sample surface is observed in the eyepiece. At this point, the focusing process is complete.

5. If the image observed in the eyepiece is blurry or half clear and half blurry, it indicates that the center of the light source deviates from the center of the system's optical path and the center position of the bulb needs to be adjusted. If the field of view is too dark or too bright, the light source intensity can be adjusted through the soft keys on the operation panel.

6. If you want to observe a larger field of view on the test block or sample, you can turn the objective lens pressure head conversion handle counterclockwise to the front of the main body. At this time, the total magnification of the optical system is 100X and it is in the observation state. When converting 1OX and 40X objectives, there is a slight change in the focusing surface, and the lifting screw can be fine tuned for focusing.

7. Rotate the conversion handle counterclockwise to position the head spindle in front of the main body. At this point, the gap between the head tip and the focused plane is approximately 0.4-0.5mm. Be careful when measuring irregular specimens to prevent the indenter from touching the specimen and damaging it.

8. Press the [START] button on the control panel, apply the test force, and the [LOAD ING] LED indicator light will turn on.

9. During the holding phase of the test force, the delay [DWELL] LED lights up. At this time, T counts down the selected time on the LCD screen. When the delay time is up, the test force is removed and the UNLOAD LED lights up. Do not turn the pressure head measurement conversion handle before the LED is turned off, otherwise it will affect the accuracy of indentation measurement and even damage the instrument.

10. Rotate the conversion handle clockwise to position the 40X objective lens in front of the main body. At this point, the diagonal length can be measured in the micrometer lens.

11. First, rotate the drum on the right side of the micrometer eyepiece clockwise to make the two lines observed inside the eyepiece move close to each other. When the edges of the two engraved lines are close, the light transmission gap gradually decreases. When the two engraved lines are in a critical state of no light gap, press the [CL] key to reset.

12. Rotate the left drum to align the left engraved line with one corner of the indentation, then rotate the right drum to separate the two engraved lines and align the right engraved line with the other corner of the indentation. When the engraved line is aligned with the diagonal of the indentation without error, press the button below the micrometer eyepiece to input and display it after D1 on the screen.

13. When the right drum rotates, the number after D1 on the LCD screen flashes, indicating that the result has not been entered yet. When the result is entered, it no longer flashes and the cursor switches to D2. Measure the length of the other diagonal again according to the above requirements. At this time, the HV hardness value of the LCD screen is displayed simultaneously. remarks:

1. Indentation may cause deformation to varying degrees due to surface roughness or differences in flatness of the sample, so diagonal measurements should be taken in two perpendicular directions and the arithmetic mean should be taken. (When conducting the Knoop hardness test, simply test the length of the long diagonal and the HK hardness value will be displayed immediately.)

2. The next experiment can only be conducted after the completion of this measurement. If the measurement result is not satisfactory, you can repeat the measurement or press the [SPECT] or [RESET] reset button to conduct the test again. (At this time, the marking line of the micrometer eyepiece needs to be zeroed again)

3. When the indentation is too small or too large to affect the measurement in the eyepiece, it is necessary to reselect the test force, rotate the test force change handwheel, and make the test force meet the requirements. At this time, press the [SPECT] and [RESET] keys, and the LCD screen will display the selected test force. At this point, the marking line of the micrometer eyepiece should be reset to zero.
